Welcome to middle school.

Class supplies:

Pencils-Make sure your child has a minimum of 2 sharpened pencils ready for school every day.
Paper-1) Need notebook paper for homework. This paper will be stapled to homework and will show all student work. NO CREDIT will be given for homework IF IT IS NOT COMPLETE and/or DOES NOT SHOW STUDENT WORK. Homework must be saved for no less than the entire 9 week grading period.
2) Need any type of paper for classwork and notes (composition book, notebook in pronged folder, notebook in binder are all acceptable options). Whatever works for your student is acceptable with this proviso. The work MUST be organized, easy for me to determine it has been completed, readily available, and not just shoved in the back pack in a heap.
Pencil Sharpener with lid
Binder or folder New or used, will be used to keep math workbook intact, and to keep saved, completed homework in. Again, whatever works for you.
Graph paperwill be used, but also will be supplied at times.
Student plannerwill be provided FREE OF CHARGE ONCE to every student. If a student loses their planner, they MUST purchase a new one. They cost approximately $10 to replace.
180 Index cardsAny kind is fine-used to write questions students have during class-turned in at end of class-answered next class period and/or on blog. REQUIRED to turn one card in per class period-need 180 cards total.
Rulerclear, see-through is the best.
At end of year, don’t buy now
Compass NOT plastic, use a metal one.
ProtractorThe smallest one with no holes in the middle and no sticks is the best.

MUCH APPRECIATED:
Kleenex
GermX-individual for your student to keep in backpack, or class sized.
Reams of Paper.

I think that your website is very interesting. What I like about your website is that students and people around the word can learn something just by looking at your website.Thank you .

from a student and friend E J

Ms.Walsh I`m having some trouble with fractions, decimals, and exponents I`m really hoping you could help me with that.please and thank you.

From your student,E J

We are going to study exponents right away. Fractions and decimals we’ll tackle in the 2nd nine weeks. Just tell me when you don’t understand, and we’ll work hard for you to succeed.
