St. Lucie County has drafted a new grading policy. To view it, go to the district website at www.stlucie.k12.fl.us
On the front page you can see “Your opinion counts”.
Underneath an explanatory paragraph, it will say “click to access the Draft Grading Policy”.
You have four weeks to provide input, but this was released earlier this week; so I imagine the clock is already ticking.
I encourage everyone to provide input. While elementary and middle school GPAs do not have lasting significance; the grades that high schoolers achieve can influence which college they are admitted to, what opportunities they are offered, and the amount of scholarship money they are able to attain.
